Board Meeting/Pre Membership Meeting

July 4, 2009
Minutes

Meeting was opened at 9:45 AM by President Bob Thomas

Present: Bob Thomas, Gregg Gilbert, Pete Hutchins, Nancy Morse, Beverly Hemphill, Margaret Pinter, and Milt Hyams

Others present: Jim Davisson, General Manager LTPA

Financial report discussion;

  1. The board discussed forming a committee that would review any projects planned for the park and assure the financial compatibility with our budget and /or ear marked capital improvement monies.
  2. This committee would report to the rest of the board their recommendations.

No action was taken at this time

2010 assessment increase:

  1. Bob Thomas and Gregg Gilbert wanted to be sure that our long term planning included income from guaranteed sources that are not subject to serious fluctuation or termination due to the economy, real-estate sales, or lake level variances (buoy revenue).
  2. Board discussed the existence and handling of the 1% assessment on the lots that have an appraisal of an amount that is less than the amount paid by the general membership.

Board agreed on previously set increase in the assessment for 2010.

bulletBookkeeping reports: Margaret Pinter asked about considering a Quickbooks report being sent to all board members monthly. This was discussed and tabled until input from Barbara Malm could be secured.
 
bulletNew construction: Margaret Pinter wanted no construction to go forward at this time. Jim Davisson stated that there are no plans for or need for any construction or repairs at this time.
 
bulletTriangle property: Pete Hutchins and Gregg Gilbert wanted to know how much money has been spent on the cleanup of this property including LTPA payments, Insurance company payments, and California “Superfund” payments to date. Pete, Gregg and Jim will research this question.

Next board meeting date: Bob Thomas asked the board to come up with a date for the “Fall” meeting. No consensus was determined so Bob will inform the board at a later date when the “Fall” meeting will be scheduled.

Meeting adjournment: Meeting was adjourned at 10: 50 AM
