| Discussion of Gas Station Results Merhdad discussed our options
and answered questions regarding the triangle property, the Lahontan
approval process and completion. Well 15 is the “hot spot” which means its
readings exceed the maximum allowed readings. Therefore, earlier in August,
there were eight core samples taken around this well. the results showed a
slight reduction in the soil sample readings, but confirmed more work on
that section of the triangle property is needed. Merhdad answered many
questions from the Board, the results being that we have three options
regarding the future direction of our “path to closure:”
Our consultant, Merhdad, explained his assessment of our situation and explained that the Lahontan case worker and board are ready to close our triangle property if we take the pro-active approach and our test results continue to drop. Merhdad also suggested that we show the Lahontan Board that we plan on utilizing the property for a specific use, thus showing a sense of urgency and commitment on our part. |
It was moved by Bob and seconded by Pete to move forward with the proactive work recommended by the consultant on the triangle property. It is the Board’s desire to move toward closure on this issue, thus selecting “the roadmap to closure.” The wells are to be treated with chemicals that work to clear up any contamination and continuously monitored for about four quarters. The positive results will then be presented to Lahontan. Motion carried unanimously.
